Welcome, I would recommend adding a custom field as an attachment to the What box, you should then be able to pull a summary through the analytics.

Hi Maureen, great to see you here in the community! I agree with Graham's suggestion, use a Custom Field attachment and call it Automate for those activities you want to automate. You can also use to comment field to capture any additional notes about that particular automation, for example if you know there are any constraints etc. This will all be included in the report.

Use the Attachments report and simply filter on Automate to get those activities.

An advanced use of Custom Fields is that you can use these as filters in the Quantify module. So you could put in all the durations against the activities using the Quantify form. The in the Quantify dashboard you can see the total duration / cost of the process. If you then filter by Custom Field you could remove all the automate steps to see the impact.

Hi Maureen, another option could be to use the RACI and make a role for possible 'Automation' and include the cog icon from the selections of icons you have available. You can always then use the Roles tab for a quick look at how many steps you have identified for possible automation.

Hi Maureen, I tend to use RACI / Roles field as per Sarah's suggestion. However, as Craig mentions, Custom Fields can be used as filters in the Quantify Module which is worthwhile module to have if automation is your goal. For A2Z Cloud I have also used Questionnaires, which I would describe as '...a template list of Custom Fields that are attached to each What Box.'

Craig Willis Once you add the custom field do you have to continue to re-create it to use it again or can you re-use the field you created?

Maureen Hunter You can reuse them. When you add the next one, start typing the name and it should give you the option to use one you've already created. It works the same way as adding Roles to boxes.
